Do you enjoy figuring out how to turn a mix of raw footage, renders, stock imagery and AI-generated visuals into one seamless story? Are you equally comfortable refining an edit in Premiere Pro, building motion in After Effects, and experimenting with AI workflows to create a shot that does not already exist? We’re looking for a Video Editor who can create polished, engaging social media content. This role is for someone who enjoys solving visual problems, experimenting with new tools and finding the right production approach for every shot, whether that means editing existing footage, manipulating stock, animating a render, building something in After Effects or creating it through an AI workflow.
Remote/Hybrid/Onsite
1+ years of experience as a video editor
A portfolio or showreel demonstrating strong editing and motion skills. Work involving compositing, mixed-media editing, AI-assisted production or visually complex short-form content is especially relevant.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, with a solid understanding of editing fundamentals including pacing, rhythm, continuity, sound design, transitions and storytelling.
Strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, with the ability to independently create motion graphics, compositing, typography animation, masking, tracking and visual effects.
Experience working with different types of source material, particularly stock footage, raw footage, still imagery, renders and generated assets, and the ability to make them feel like part of the same visual world.
A good understanding of AI image and video generation workflows, including prompting, reference-based generation, image-to-video workflows and iterative refinement.
Familiarity with node-based AI workflows and an understanding of how greater control over references, inputs, outputs and generation parameters can improve consistency and accuracy.
An interest in experimenting with plugins, scripts, expressions, AI tools and lightweight coding to find better or more efficient ways of achieving an edit or motion outcome.
Curiosity and a problem-solving mindset. You should enjoy looking at an ambitious creative idea and figuring out how to actually make it happen rather than being limited by the footage or assets initially available.
Planning efficient production and editing workflows for engaging short-form video content that follows established brand guidelines while exploring relevant formats, visual languages and trends.
Working fluidly across raw footage, stock footage, photography, motion graphics and AI-generated content, bringing different sources together so the final film feels visually consistent and intentional.
Crafting compelling narratives through pacing, motion, sound, transitions and visual storytelling while maintaining a brand voice that feels aspirational and relevant to the target audience.
Collaborating with team leads, designers and co-creators to develop concepts, exchange creative inputs and determine the best execution approach for each video format.
Building motion graphics and visual treatments in After Effects, including typography, transitions, compositing, masking, tracking and more advanced motion solutions where required.
Experimenting with controlled AI video generation and node-based workflows to modify footage, extend scenes and translate references into believable lifestyle moments.
Organising project files, footage, renders, generated assets and edit workflows so projects remain structured, easy to collaborate on and ready for timely delivery.
Keeping up with emerging editing techniques, motion styles, AI video tools and production workflows, and identifying which developments can meaningfully improve how the brand tells its stories.
Someone who takes pride in problem solving, researching, getting to the bottom of things and formulating solutions.
Someone with a keen aesthetic sensibility and the ability to craft visually appealing, pixel perfect designs with a high level of detail.
Someone who can take responsibility and deliver work on time. They must be willing to learn from their mistakes and improve.
Someone who understands the client’s requirements and can balance it with the consumer’s needs to build captivating visual solutions.
Someone who keeps teammates in the loop and asks for help at the right time makes task and project management easier.
Someone who can adapt to unexpected situations, prioritise and re-prioritise intelligently. A person willing to learn, upskill and simply get things done!
