Designing an AI-powered Sales & Marketing Product from scratch


Brief
Kanlet (previously OPSO) is a relationship intelligence platform for revenue acceleration.
We were tasked with designing their product to visualise AI-generated data such as the user's expansive network, the shortest connection path to other individuals and organisations, and the user's sales pipelines in a user-friendly and easily comprehensible format. Subsequently, we refined the product to align with its repositioning within the market.

Research and Discovery
We sought to comprehend the product's market positioning and business strategies. User interviews were conducted to understand their needs and expectations regarding the product. Furthermore, we analysed both direct and indirect competitors of Kanlet within the market.

Ideation and Strategy
We synthesised research data to define the product's scope and direction, including affinity mapping, personas, and user journey mapping to understand user patterns. Additionally, we defined the information architecture to determine the product's structure and navigation.
Feature ideation, mapping and prioritisation
We organised an ideation session aimed at generating innovative solutions to address both existing challenges encountered by users in their journey and potential new ones, all with the goal of elevating the overall user experience.
Following the ideation session, we meticulously mapped out all the features, analysing their ease of implementation and the value they offer to users.

Interactive and engaging experience of shortlisting opportunities
We designed Kanlet’s opportunity cards with a clear content hierarchy and segmented layouts to highlight why a client is a strong fit, making them easy to scan and evaluate. To streamline decision-making, we introduced one-click actions to quickly shortlist or pass on opportunities. Combined with a visual connection map that reveals the shortest “people-to-people” paths, the experience empowers users to navigate complex data and act with clarity and confidence.
Bird's eye view of the user's extensive network with graphical representation
We visualized Kanlet’s extensive user network in an interactive webbing format, making complex connections easy to grasp at a glance. Users can expand any connection with a single click to explore deeper layers instantly. A smart search highlights all possible paths to a specific person or company, simplifying networking and strategic outreach.
Updates on the Target list based on Job change and buy signals
We designed Kanlet’s target list updates to prominently highlight key trigger points like recent funding and mergers or acquisitions, making it easy for users to spot timely opportunities. The interface clearly indicates the nature of each connection—whether first, second, or third degree—providing context for outreach strategy. This dynamic updating ensures users stay informed and can act swiftly on high-impact sales signals.
Generative AI to effortlessly draft and send emails to target ICPs.
Creating context based templates using Variables and Signals
We designed Kanlet’s template creation to be easy and flexible, allowing users to quickly build messages with variables and contextual triggers. When a trigger is detected, users receive additional related trigger options to further personalize their templates. Throughout the process, users retain full control to edit content at any time, ensuring messages always meet their needs.
Quick messaging to engage with the ICP based on the current buying signals
We designed Kanlet’s quick messaging feature to enable fast, personalized outreach directly from Tracker cards. Using prompt-based generative AI, the system crafts messages tailored to the target user’s profile. It also offers options to easily add relevant content based on current buying signals, helping users engage their ideal customer profile efficiently and effectively.
Seamless Access to Personal and Organizational Networks
We crafted an intuitive Network module that lets users easily view comprehensive stats on all their connections. The module allows users to quickly switch views, comparing metrics across individual and organizational relationships with ease. Users can also toggle their view to see either their own or their organization’s full set of connections and related stats, empowering strategic relationship management.
Automated LinkedIn Campaigns for Targeted Outreach
Users can easily launch LinkedIn campaigns by selecting timeframes and importing target lists via CSV. The platform guides users through building automated communication flows that respond dynamically to audience behavior over set intervals. This empowers users to maintain consistent, personalized engagement without manual effort.
Optimized and Cohesive UI for Kanlet’s Salesforce Integration
We redesigned Kanlet’s Salesforce plugin UI to align seamlessly with the core design system, ensuring a consistent and cohesive visual experience. The update enhances readability through clear content hierarchies, optimized typography, and well-structured layouts. This streamlined interface makes complex data easily digestible, boosting user efficiency and productivity within Salesforce.


Design System Focused on Clarity, Readability, and Fluid Interactions
We developed a robust design system for Kanlet, focusing on delivering a clean UI that enhances usability and visual clarity. Readability is prioritized through clear hierarchies, ample spacing, and optimized typography for effortless comprehension. Subtle micro animations and interactive cues provide a smooth, engaging experience while maintaining consistency across the platform.
